Ideas and calculations:

When discussing ideas at the round table, I noticed many of my classmates were planning on traveling the 1km in various ways. I knew that for myself, this would bring up negative emotions. Now, I love a good walk but when the distance or effort is measured, It brings me back to a cycle of disordered thoughts pertaining to food and exercise.
I thought I could make this assignment a challenge for myself: eat a hardy breakfast with multiple different kilometres worth of calories —in front of the class— and feel no need to compensate out of shame.
Success!
