Audio Project– A Clap and A Half.
DRAFT:
FINAL:
For this project, I decided to touch on my experience with sound being connected to my body by only using my hands to create an audio track. I am not used to thinking in terms of audio, so this project was very difficult for me. I layered different sounds local to the hands, such as snaps, claps, rubbing the hands together, and I experimented with different hand states like wearing rings or not. In the draft, I had little direction for where I was going with this project. However, I got Nathan's help to develop this idea. I ended up putting my various hand sounds into a drum kit, and creating a digital beat out of those sounds. This allowed me to stray from my hand sounds just sounding like flat percussion. I did not have any specific inspirations for this project. I simply wanted to challenge myself through limiting my instruments. I am proud of myself for trying with this, despite being terrified.
