ZINES

The Process

-First, we got to make it at home using my some what planned out zine from our work period on Wednesday

And then the fun really begins,

I then scanned my original print and got 22 copies printed (Thank you Nathan), and then me and Emma went to go cut them (thank you, Emma)

Now let the chaos begin

22 Copies are a lot more than you would think, that’s for sure

I must admit Folding the last one made me beyond happy

What Does my Zine mean?

To me, my zine represents my and my brother’s relationship and how we’re beginning to go our separate ways and start our own lives without one another. The clocks depicted in the zine represent the passage of time and the changes in our lives. It follows a timeline that isn’t 100% accurate, but mainly covers the young to present era. This zine is my counter archive because in reality, history does not care for me or my brother’s relationship; it really only matters to me and a very small group of people around me, like my brother, mom, dad and me. It includes my own perspective of what is truly important in the world, even if that doesn’t concern anyone else. It cares about my own lived-out experience instead of archival methods or interpretations.
